Why the heck not.   Looks absolutely great.  Build a git.  Get your tetanus shot.  Play the crap out of it.  

Hey, Bones, is it strong enough for a saddle?  I am sure you can make it so.  I really want to see the finished git.  I would say, 'Keep it simple'.    But you are the artist.
