29.5"

Important with basses to make sure the thick length of string gets all the way to the bridge but not so far that it reaches the tuners before it thins out. So work out your scale, get your appropriate strings first so you can make sure you've got that right.

I've got a trashed Peavey Foundation I've been meaning to cannibalize for a two-string fretless (turns out it was really a great bass; destroying it was the mistake of a 21 year old punk rocker). This build gives me some ideas. What's the scale length here?

...!?!... you make phallo-casters?  AWESOME!

Bone yard blues, anyone?

seriously, though... nice build

I dream headstocks. I probably spent an hour designing this one. Here's the process: 1) Draw a headstock. 2) Decide it looks like a phallus. 3) Repeat until you have one that doesn't look like a phallus. 4) Decide that one is just ugly. 5) Draw another phallus one. 6) Repeat. 7) Draw one that looks like a Leggo block. 8) Draw one that looks like a bus ran over it. 8) Phallus again. 9) Yup, another phallus. 10) Draw one that looks OK but will not accommodate the tuners. 11) WHo knew there were that many ways to draw something that looks like a phallus? 12) OK, this one looks kinda OK. 13) Revise several times. 14) Cut headstock. 15) Drink heavily.
