AGP #308 – “Bazooka”
(8 String Double Course Irish Bouzouki)
Scale : 648mm / 25½inches
Strings X 2: .040NW / .028NW / .016PS / .011PS /
Tuning: G / D / A / d /
The Kettle Gourd was the smallest of 2 that has been sitting in my shed for the last couple of years, was very thin walled with a largish hole in it from being blown off the shed roof while drying out, so inside has been reinforced with fibreglass, the Headstock Wings are Spruce Pine, the Soundboard is 3mm Pine Ply and the Neck, Bridge & Nut are Spotted Gum, a 9.5k P54 H Style Humbucker is hardwired to the Jack,
Had to build one after watching young Casey Baron’s recent vid on his lovely Irish Bouzouki Strung Build, I just wish I could play as well as he does.

"Thanks Downtown Vinnie", still have a couple buzzy fret spots to file down, I'll then make an attempt at learning some "Irish Bouzouki" chords, something my "Ham Fisted Bricklayer Fingers" struggle with  :-D

Wow beautiful work,Korrigan. Salud to you..Was just playing mine thinkin bout putting up a video...Actually they are quite approachable.I'm always looking for a new instrument or sound and I got a flat back bazouki and was able to pick up some cool chords with just two fingers. Mine has electronics but they are adequate at best.I bet that pup sounds superb..You Tube has some excellent beginner lessons for Irish bouzouki.Dont get Greekbouzouki lessons ,its a whole nother baby..Good luck.

"Thanks StorminSteve", can't claim the rights to the artwork done by my Bro-in-law, a bit brighter green than I would have liked  :-)
