Birch ply top. Tin bottom cut out-didn't sound good or loud enough. Eye screw for strap. Small bag was free from a grab bin at music store. Present for my daughter. Merlot bottleneck fits my pinky but should work well for her.

I forgot to mention, the neck is birch plywood. No doubt it gives a little but when your nut is a bolt, what's a little more relief. I like the sound,(considered keeping it). Made first with tin bottom soundboard and should have worked but was just too quiet. I use 2x4 for lap steel but still have not tried to use zither pins in pine.

Comment by Uncle John on December 15, 2011 at 7:38am that looks really nice. I have been curious about plywood - if it is strong enough. Looks like so far, so good. I have had fine luck using a 2x4- so why the neck not?
