Any thoughts which would sound better? Pig nose or c.b gitty?
Comment by Pequeño Diablo Guitars on December 18, 2011 at 2:21pm

I think putting the pignose guts in there is a great idea, or if you didn't want to gut the pig nose you could buy an amp kit from C.B. Gitty for 24 bucks.

A-B batteries are a battery set that aren't made anymore. One would run the radio and the other would run the filament in the tubes. there are some guys on ebay selling home made ones, I'm trying to get one made.

My current thought is to use the guts of a pignose and the original speaker.  Good idea?

"AB" battery?  If I found one is there less of a chance of electrifying myself?

Could just use the original speaker and use the rest of a pignose?

Thanks for the advice BeetleJuice.   I did go back and buy it.  Here is the insides.  I love the idea of converting it but I really do know nothing about working with this stuff.  I do have a pignose that is lying around.  Is that the best route?  Would I just blow myself up if I messed with it?  Again I don't know anything about DC power etc but am interested in learning.

that is a total tube monster!...if its kinda big.,..its a tube radio.....you could always pull the stuffin's out and put in a cigar box guitar kit...or better yet, buy a cheap pignose and stuff the guts in it...that would sound marvolus in that hollow body..would be a good deal

That is too funny!

Lovelace, are you in Australia?  Perhaps that's the problem.
