Hey Brian, I've only found a few instruments at the bargains you are getting. Rummage sales are the only $25 guits in my world. I've been lucky to get my relics for $50. Usually they run about 60 for a relic with most of the parts still on it. Even just a body is 30 or so. The good news is once they are fixed up they sell for over $100. I just like bringing the old gals back to life and some of them play great! I guess i'm hooked, like Pick said. Ain't a bad drug.....

lol  ..  some people  blame  me   for  driving  up  the  prices  on  ebay  ..  after  bragging  about them   on here  and  getting  a few  guys hooked  on  the  old   jap   jems  .

:-D and them  yummy  teisco   pups.

I'm kind of bewildered on how much $$$ these guitars are going for on ebay,

where I'm from we don't pay nearly that much for them, I got my last Decca

hollowbody for $20, I haven't payed more than $50 for one, I think Music Go

Round is even more ridiculous about the pricing on these instuments, I understand they have to make money, but they're not worth what they're asking for them!!!!

Yeah ive fixed up a couple. Wish i had more to fix up. I try to get em off ebay. Its just hard to fight off all the last minute vultures.

By all means Brian. Show some of your MIJ collection. I can't stop rebuilding relics. I've been able to afford the carcasses i get off ebay and Music Go Round. I love the sound of these old birds.

Thanks for the info Brian. Yeah show some pics. I think just the confusion of who made what where how and when, in of itself, is just one of the reasons I like these old japanese guitars. Not to mention there hundreds of models, styles, configuations and variations on all of it.

Kawai didn't start making teisco til' 67, but that bridge is a copy of a

Mosrite style bridge, Kingston was made in the same factory, alot of

people think Teisco made a lot of other brands, but that's not exactly true,

most of the guitar brands from japan were made in the same Nippon Gekki factory, even Yamaha was made in that factory, that's why there's so many

similarities, I've prolly owned about 30-35 guitars made by that factory over

the years & they've all had some similarity.hope U find a good neck for the body.

I'll have to post a few of my guitars,Teisco ,Decca,Kimberly,Zenon,Greco, etc.
