10 minute Fuzz

Here’s a layout of the 10 minute Fuzz, originally called the BazzFuss built by Christian Hemmo in the late 90’s. Probably the easiest transistorized pedal you can build, experiment with different…Continue

have to add a new baby to the group.

VooDoo Lab's Sparkle Drive.

This thing can make almost any guitar amp sound like it's on it's last leg. LOVE IT!

Hello. My name is Cause the Rat and I am addicted to sound....Yaa baby!

Pedals list. In order from the guitar.

tc electronic polytune

Ibanez TS9DX

Electro-Harmonix POG 2

Fulltone '70

Crybaby way

Fulltone Deja-Vibe MDV 2

Vox Cooltron Big Ben Overdrive

Boss GE 7

Mesa Boogie V-Twin

Cabalinbread Dirty Little Secret

MXR Black Label Chorus

Boss DD6

tc electronic Hall of Fame.

Not in chain but still LOVE

Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Electric Mistress.

I've not made a true cigar box guitar. Can't say how any of these boxes would sound with piezos. I have tried a few with the Pbass pickup solid body four string I made.

Big Ben Overdrive. Real smooth. Can get a little hair but has to have the gain from about 2:00 to full.

Dirty Little Secret. Again not as much hair. Still sounds great.

'70. Lots of hair. George Thorogood hair. But again, lower output means I have to turn the fuzz up.

Howdy folks!
I just saw, and joined this group.
Let me give you a quick intro and why I joined. I'm retired Air Force and have disabilities. Currently, my hands go numb, so projects are limited until that's fixed.
I've been playing guitar for 30 years and just jumped on the CBG train. I also build guitars and effects.
That's why I joined this group.
I not only modify pedals, but do full custom builds.
I'm also a pedal junkie--literally have BOXES of various effects in my home studio.
If I can be of any assistance here--don't hesitate to reach out!!!
As I might not always be in this section, just zip me a message.
I'll be more than happy to help, guide, advise, etc.

Cheers!

Just got it yesterday. It's a fantastic addition to a growing pedal range. It may take the need to jam with anyone else away. ;) Well, it's not that good.

Great website, Shannon. Thanks for the suggestion. On a pedal note I have a loop station in the mail. Not so much an effect as it is a pedal. Obviously it'll be the last pedal in the series. I'm using a sans amp bass driver followed by a digital delay before going into my amp which is a small 15w Vox. The loop station will be a welcome addition for when I'm jamming by my lonesome.

Golly. That seemed a little rude.

Seems this is your one man group, so I'm leaving. Lots of success.

Try the Electro Harmonix Bass Blogger and you'll out-Satisfaction Keith Richards on your CBG. I use it on my baritone, good stuff.

As far as amps go it depends on where I play. In the living room it's a small custom built cigar box, 1 watt with a nice crunchy sound. For recording and small bars I use a 7 watt Epiphone Pacemaker from 1964. It's the amp only which was sawn off a combo. I hook it up to a Vox Escort cabinet (amp doesn't work) with a Celestion 12" inside. . For bigger venues I might use a 1990's 25 watt Vox Cambridge with one Celestion 10" or a 1970 40 watts Italian all tube piggy back with one 12 ". It has the illustrious brand "Sound". Great sounding sturdy amps, Class A. I played through an early 70s Fender Bassman for a while, but they are too "bassy" for me.

Can't wait to here it
