Here’s a layout of the 10 minute Fuzz, originally called the BazzFuss built by Christian Hemmo in the late 90’s. Probably the easiest transistorized pedal you can build, experiment with different…Continue

Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Electric Mistress.
I've not made a true cigar box guitar. Can't say how any of these boxes would sound with piezos. I have tried a few with the Pbass pickup solid body four string I made.
Big Ben Overdrive. Real smooth. Can get a little hair but has to have the gain from about 2:00 to full.
Dirty Little Secret. Again not as much hair. Still sounds great.
'70. Lots of hair. George Thorogood hair. But again, lower output means I have to turn the fuzz up.
Seems this is your one man group, so I'm leaving. Lots of success.
Try the Electro Harmonix Bass Blogger and you'll out-Satisfaction Keith Richards on your CBG. I use it on my baritone, good stuff.
As far as amps go it depends on where I play. In the living room it's a small custom built cigar box, 1 watt with a nice crunchy sound. For recording and small bars I use a 7 watt Epiphone Pacemaker from 1964. It's the amp only which was sawn off a combo. I hook it up to a Vox Escort cabinet (amp doesn't work) with a Celestion 12" inside. . For bigger venues I might use a 1990's 25 watt Vox Cambridge with one Celestion 10" or a 1970 40 watts Italian all tube piggy back with one 12 ". It has the illustrious brand "Sound". Great sounding sturdy amps, Class A. I played through an early 70s Fender Bassman for a while, but they are too "bassy" for me.
Can't wait to here it
