Comment by Habanera Hal 18 hours ago Regarding strings: I used to use .012, .016, and .022, but on my latest build (Cohiba Robusto with 24" diatonic scale) I used .013, .017, and .030 David Gilmour Signature Series GHS Boomers and it really came alive! I'm tuned DAd and I'm loving the tone and volume out of this box!
Comment by BeetleJuice! on Thursday if your neck starts to bo cuz of the tension becuse of the high A...you can flip it and tune it D A d a too!
Comment by Rooster Reaves on Wednesday Thanks man. I'll try those. I want something real dirty sounding.
Comment by BeetleJuice! on Wednesday the best for me is A D a...or C F c...something like that where the top string is the same as the bottom
Comment by Rooster Reaves on Tuesday What key do y'all tune your 3 strings in? I want to find something thats real bluesy and something I can pick too.
Comment by Rooster Reaves on Tuesday Hey Beetle, Cool vid on the A-Bomb. Good soundin tune too.
Comment by BeetleJuice! on May 15, 2012 at 9:35am I have tryed and they were not to loud, i like simple broze strings, I even have tried the phosper bronze strings and not been happy as that coating seems to dampen the volume, to me i get the best results from broze acoustic strings
Comment by John Holmes on May 13, 2012 at 9:47pm has anyone ever tried flatwound strings?. Or should a person use just regular acoustic strings?
Comment by Michael Tinker on May 7, 2012 at 9:52am For those interested, by new album 'Shores of Amerikay' is out. http://regathermusic.bandcamp.com/
