Great to meet everyone - had a wonderful couple of days spending time with you all. Thank you all for your support and contributions to the documentary. And a giant THANK YOU to Chickenbone John (who has a gig at the Public as I write this!) - you'd better rest up so you can start working out the logistics for next year's extravaganza!

cheers!

Had breakfast at Wetherspoons this morning, with Lois and Lefty.
Settled for a kebab from the takeaway across from the hotel last night.

wow what a brilliant day!!!, my head is still spinning with it all...great to meet everyone, and see so many CBGs. Would take all day to list everything I enjoyed as I just loved the lot!!! THANKS John for organising it -worth EVERY PENNY of the ticket price!!! I'm curious...did anyone find anywhere decent to eat in West Brom?? (asked the girl on reception at The Public if there were any pubs that did good food and she said "no not in West Bromwich" lol!!

A great fest, got to put faces to names and discovered that beer really is food! Thanks to all and sundry for making it all happen.

Just got back home - great to meet all you guys at the fest in Brum - to those who didn't make it: you missed out big time! There's something about breakfast with Roosterman that makes you want to make it an annual event - but no more often that that! LOL

Roll on number 3, that was amazing. I feel more confident strumming and noodling thanks to the workshops, got to see first hand what others boxes looked like, in the true Rooster man fashion, so I could steal ideas, and got a few people twang and strum mine, who looked like they knew what they were doing, as I build but can't actually play. It was an amazing feeling of pride to know I had made something musical from a much junk shop and car boot stuff as possible.

Thanks John, Thanks to the performers, and thanks to everyone else who attended who I spoke to, proper community.

Just got back to Brighton after the Birmingham CBG Fest. Had a fantastic time, met some great people and enjoyed some awesome music. Tons of thanks to Chickenbone John for organising the event and special thanks to Roosterman for providing an entertaining insight into how he builds CBGs. Hollowbelly's set and workshop were outstanding as were the sets from Bluesbeaten Redshaw, Tinqui8 and the afternoon set from StumbleCol. Hoping that everyone had as good a time as I did :)
