@Lori - they look expensive - my finders are under strict instructions to charge me no more than £1 or £2 if I am feeling generous!

Can't store that myself, or collect all that, just figured if there are some more local people, they might want it between them, or even split up and sell on themselves.

Oak is fine..it's pretty tough to work (sanding it by hand is just too tedious..it'll cost you a fortune in sandpaper!). It also has a very open grain, so I just work with that when finishing it, and often simply oil it and leave it at that. Plenty of necks there for £50 to keep you busy!!

Don't know if any of this would be suitable for a group buy of timber, or whether it would be too chancy as neck timber because I don't know enough about good wood, but it looks like a lot of oak for £50.

Mr Chicken Bone cheers for the reply in the end ijust went over the top of the tin. But in the process I came up with a cheap tuner. Have a look at this see what you guys think

Yes, I can't believe all of the projects that I have built and want to build in the future. I am at present building a biscuit tun ukulele with a maple neck. This is my first commission build.
I'm going to cut back on the building for the summer as I really want to do some playing/busking.
