A quick question for everyone about string spacing! Most of my guitars are based on Gibson neck/scale. Who follows the rules on string spacing and who does not I’ve seen a lot on here where the strings are quite widely spaced and are parallel to each other not like on a tapered neck of a regular guitar. Any pros/cons or particular reason for this? P.s. I tend to go for a flat finger board on most CBG’s.

I'm probably breaking all of the rules for CBG Nation - but didn't I see sometime ago that someone was a bit of a fan of Stellas?

Just about finished my lastest build a 3 String with Dulcimer fretting. In true tradition its built from junk. The wood is a cheap hard wood reclaimed from an old bench top. The front and back very thin ply used to seperate Paper piles on delivery pallets. Its a scratch build as I am getting fed up of looking for suitable size boxes.
It got an in built hand wound pickup and a Pizo the three way switch allows either or both to be on at the same time. The colour is old printing ink mixed with the wood sealer before varnishing.scratch plate andother fittings are shim brass. It has a 27 1/2 inch scale length. sounds sweet.

I have absolutely no idea which permutation you should choose, so, my advice is to write down on seperate pieces of paper, all of the possible options and then draw one of the pieces blinfolded from a hat!!!! Not only will this be fun, but also you will be trusting your next build to "fate" thus leading to a completely fate driven cbg. Imagine the possibilities!!!!!!! "CHOOSE NOTHING, BUILD WHATEVER HAPPENS!!!!"
