Bit of forwrad planning - if we are doing the Cigar Box Shindig again this summer, a new Premier Inn will be open in town and a friend of mine will be working there. Sooo I may be able to get a discounted block booking if we are able to confrm numbers early. If anyone is interested in principle then let me know - venue will be the Saracen again but we can play outside (weather permitting). Also if anyone is interested in playing at a folk/blues fest I plan to put on in May(ish)  at a different venue let me know - that won't be CBG based line-up but I will be doing a CBG set so it will be a mix

As a matter of interest, there is a documentary program on the BBC network (channel BBC 4) on Sunday evening about a group of musicians who put together a complete orchestra from scrap and recycled materials in order to play at the BBC proms this year. Thought it might be of interest to one or two of you.

Daniel you can find TABs for all types of CBG right here on the 'Nation.   Hope this is what you were looking for. :)

My first build is almost finished :) Just waiting for some tuning pegs to come from ebay and it will be done.......hopefully this week. I shall take picture and post it :)

Yay! Scored myself some cigar boxes at a tobacconists in Leeds. I was expecting to have to ask if they had any, but was surprised to find a whole shelf of empty boxes. Looks like my nephew will have a diddley bow and matching amp for Christmas,the lucky lucky devil.
