Hi all. Have just uploaded all my footage from the open mic sessions on friday.(almost 1 hour) I managed to capture at least something of most performances until my battery ran out!! For some strange reason, my computer decided to split the file in two. So my apologies to roosterman, his performance gets split! Check out the following links. Part 1:

Hi Guys - what a great weekend - looking forward to sorting out the northern boxstock - get in touch with your thoughts on that one ,,I have a venue that is just right for the job.

Had a great time yesterday afternoon/eve. Bumped into a bunch of musicians at a pub - went and fetched a Cigar Box Guitar, an amp and a harmonica and we played some serious blues until the manager asked us to stop. The rest of the punters complained to the management for stopping us.  Going to try a short jam set on Sunday at the open mic and if it works out will look at getting it together as a trio.  Saracen's Head  to the rescue: we can rehearse in there whenever we want to! They get free entertainment we get beer!

For a branch to be used a neck it has to be properly kiln dried as it will be green inside and full of moisture making it difficult to work with.

So... while walking in the local woods today I noticed lots of oak branches lying around - has anybody made a neck from a found branch? what are the pros and cons of doing this?

the post scipt is I went to another pub and we are booked in to do a Bliues jam night next week.  Sorry Mr Wetherspoon but you just lost a customer and a gig

Mark. Is that room still available? I'd be more than interested in a bed, failing that a floor. Basically anything so i can avoid sleeping in my van. If you could drop us a e-mail or something sam_two@hotmail.co.uk (moving house with no internet) and cigarboxnation isnt the best on mobile. Would be more than happy to contribute towards costs. cheers
