Just found this online.  The company isn't in production yet and is looking for funding, but it's the sort of thing people here might be interested in.  The inter-changeable necks are pretty cool!

Just to break the news...

The Home Grown Music Collective will be officially launched on Friday 18th March, and we'll also have news of 'Boxstock', the 3rd UK Cigar Box Fest.

Keep an eye on the discussions for updates as and when they happen!

Cheers

It was her idea to have the jam session as she has loads of music friends and loves blues and country as well as rock and metal.

We have such a diverse group of friends between us that a theme that allows a lot individualism is the only thing that would work.

Woohoo, I'm getting married. Not until next year at the earliest but the plan is to have a Steampunk theme and have jam session instead of a regular band so those invited can bring along there axes/drums/anything else that can accompany.

Once we have more of an idea of when/where invites will be sent out.

Hi John, that sounds good.  I'd like more info on fretting, and the business off wiring up, fitting proper pick ups etc.  Oh, and making necks of a higher quality.  So basically, how to make the whole thing!

Cheers,

Duncan.

Ben did a presentation on how he builds guitars at last years festival, and I reckon there will be plenty of people wanting to swap ideas and chat about guitar making.  The difficult thing is the actual practical organisation of how this happens on the day in terms of seminars, presentations, Q & A sessions etc...but if people want to shout-up about the things they'd like to know more about , whether it''s general guitar building, fretting, electrics etc. then that will help me plan the day.

I know it might all sound a bit formalised, but I like to get the day as well-structured as I can in order that people get as much out of the day as possible, and at the same time foster that infomal friendly vibe.

As Ben says, plans are well advanced in terms of the major elements of the weekend, but any input is welcome  so that we can try and cover as much ground as possible. I'm really looking forward to it this year...it's going to be a great event, I'm sure of that.
