After the success of the stage that I set up and ran at Mill Rd Winter Fair, I have gotten together with a small group of people and we have decided to use the same setup to host "The First Cambridge Cigar Box Festival" on 11th August 2012 in Cambridge, UK

WE HAVE A LOT OF TALENT, DOWN SOUTH, LOOK WHO`S ALREADY CONFIRMED TO PLAY!

Brickdust says, "no one is above anyone else, we are all the same, we are all equal", this is our Moto and the Ethos of the whole thing.

If anyone would like to come and play a set on a Home Made Instrument, please get in touch, there will be Open Mic spots to start the day off at 2pm and Floor Spots/ Jam for the last hour at the end.

If any of the builders want to come and set up a stall, they would be very welcome. There is a large area outback,  where we can set up stalls, but it is open to the elements, so you will need to bring a Gazebo or something or run the risk of the weather!

It would be good to get some idea of numbers, so if you do want a Floor Spot or want to display your Instruments "For Sale", please try and let me know.

What ever you do, make sure that you bring a Cigar Box Guitar for the Jam at the end!

This will be a one-day event, starting at 2pm with an Open Mic and finishing with a Jam/Floor Spots the curfew will be 11pm, entry is FREE, all it will cost you is travel and food.

ALL WELCOME!!

LETS MAKE THIS A GREAT DAY!!!

Hey Professor,

all details are on the poster and in the discussion blurb!

Two days until The First Cambridge Cigar Box Festival, Saturday 11th August, Earl Of Beaconsfield Pub, Cambridge, CB1 3AA, 2pm-11pm. 10 of the best UK CBG acts booked, best Line-Up of Uk Cigar Box Guitar acts anywhere in the country, this year and it is FREE!

All the best for tomorrow....I'm up in Manchester's Heaton Park doing guitar workshops, so unfortunately won't be with you.

Thanks John,

I really do appreciate your support !

I think that this will be the start something here in the East.

Myself and maybe one or two others are going to start The Cambridge CBG Club, meeting once a month, with Open Mic, feature spots and guest act each month.

It would be great to get you down one month, you could play and set up your stall ?

Let us get it  up and running and I`ll give you a shout !

It does all depend on tomorrow going well though !

Cheers,

Col

is it kid friendly ?
