I've got a few workshops lined up for this year. If you are new to playing cigar box guitar, these sessions are an ideal way to get you playing off to a flying start. I've pitched one workshop for beginners, and another for intermediate players, and with the ones where I'm joined by the legendary Hollowbelly, we'll be dealing with all ability levels.

30th May, Ardley, Oxfordshire. Learn to Play with Chickenbone John & Hollowbelly

13th June, Smethwick West Midlands. Learn to Play with Chickenbone John - for intermediates & "improvers"

For those of you wanting to get to grips with 6 strings, I'm doing a 1/2 day beginners' introductory session to learn bottleneck guitar.

4th July, Smethwick West Midlands. Learn to Play 6 string slide guitar with Chickenbone John - for beginners.

I'm also running my popular "Make and Play" days, where you make your own fretless piezo equipped CBG and learn the basics of how to play on the following dates.

15th February, Calne Wiltshire (part of Bryan Folklaws CBG and roots weekend).

1st March, Leeds.

15th March, Swindon.
