Picked this up at an antique store a few days ago. Needs a little maintenance but was a find.

Guitarfetish.com has bodies and necks for 6 string guitars and bass. They sometimes have violin shaped bodies for cheap. However, their wood products can be hit or miss when it comes to quality, but someone that knows how to fix them can get a real bargain. I've bought 3 necks from them, 1 required little work, 1 required a small amount of work and the other required a lot of work. So it can be a gamble, but the necks were $25 - $30 a piece plus shipping. Shipping was about the same or a little more.

BTW their pickups are pretty good.

You need to make yourself a CGB(bass or baritone) and come over to the dark side. Hahaha

Looks like the top wood is really dried out. It needs some moisture.

Figures something this cool would be hidden away in Nashville.

Standard size mini-buckers will need an opening of 29mm/ 1&1/8" x 68mm/2&7/8". The Snake Oil mini-buckers that C.B.Gitty sells are a bit larger and longer. The dimensions are on the website.

Love mini-buckers, especially real deal Firebirds. I know a couple of winders that make real deal Firebird pickups if that's what your looking for.
