Sounds great Dan, I'm not much of a player, just retired awhile back and decided I wanted to learn an instrument and I really love the CBG so I'll try to contact you and we can talk and maybe get together and play sometimes. My nephew lives near you and he is an excellent guitarist, has been showing me a few things.

@ CaptNick...Would be glad to meet sometime. If you eat at Don Juan's you go right by my house on Fairview near Carolina Ave.Pretty much everyone in town knows my house 'cause it's the one with the flat roof. I'm just beginning to learn to play, but I love to build things and these are a lot of fun.

Well I am setting up a small working area at my sons to build CBG's as a hobby. Need to keep myself busy since my wife passed away 4 months ago. At this point my skills aren't that good, so I want to call them Hobo guitars, simple three string slide guitars.

Hey Dan, Welcome to the group! I also live in Lexington, in the High Rock Lake area. Maybe we'll get together sometime and learn a little from each other.

Welcome Andrew! You will enjoy the nation. Are you a builder or player or both?

Got to meet Johnny Swank this weekend , was a real pleasure meeting him. I saw the fritocaster and his new 6 string build he's still working and the diddley bow Lucy. Bought his cd and his 919 y'al t shirt. Like I said was really nice to meet him.
