Bigsby did some cool stuff, most people only know Bigsby for the tremolo they still make.  I think he had something to do with the first solid body electrics, but Leo Fender and Les Paul seem to get all the credit.

Bob, you must have read my mind! I recently discovered Bigsby's pickups by way of Grady Martin, by way of Johnny Burnette and the Rock and Roll Trio. I had heard about this winder being up on eBay, but couldn't find a picture of it. Thanks for posting. What's really interesting is that it's built out of wood. Bigsby was a former motorcycle mechanic who liked working in aluminum. I guess I need to break down and get the Bigsby book.
