Absolutely you can play through a bass amp. In fact, Fender's Bassman amp used to be quite popular with guitar players.
Hi Shane. I posted this in two of my groups and received nothing yet. Any thoughts to share? Hey everybody, I am building a concert scale pot lid reso uke, with a piezo pickup. My string ends will show thru the tail piece. So ball end strings may be the ticket. Can anyone recommend steel wrapped nylon strings that will tune like a uke? Also, string gauges that will tune like a uke. I intend to play like a uke but may set it up for slide playing. All ya'lls thoughts are welcomed. jh
If I remember last time, and my memory is truly shocking so I could be wrong, I think the doctor said it was contact dermititis. Using a manual wheelchair means I could have touched Lord knows what on the wheels. Not sure but a trip to the doc should sort it. I showed it to a pharmacist and he said an allergic reaction but it looks just like last time but more widespread on the whole hand. Not to complain I guess. Just looks horrible and like I'm one of the elephant man's fortunate relatives lol. Soon sorted I'm sure. Gloves in future though I think!
Thanks Wayfinder and Madgomer. Got some hydra cortisone on it right now and a call to the doctor on Tuesday . Might need some antibiotic cream or something . Just need to buy some gloves for working and get on with it. Your well wishes and thoughts are much appreciated.
Oh and enjoy those tunings Madgomer! I personally love them like crazy. I don't have any chord sheets for them so if you ever discover any or write some out I'd massively appreciate the offer of a copy. Hint, hint. lol
Did you watch the second video as well? He explains about having an a string on top and bottom means you can always resolve to either and explains other awesomeness too. Definitely an argument for not just sticking to GDGB. Both really good videos. Both tunings will be used on my two new four string builds. Exciting times. I would have finished them already but my hands have blistered up on the palms due to an allergic reaction. I'll get them done in time.
No problem Wayfinder. Glad to actually offer help rather than be begging for help haha. That's a first for sure.
This one explains the CGCD# that I talked about in my video.

This one is where I got the AC#EA from and is by Justin Johnson.

I love them both and they're why I'm building my first four string guitar. Two at a time actually, and both nearly finished. Hope one of them are what you were looking for, Wayfinder. Apologies if not but I hope you can find it.
