To all those Old Punks. This should probably be called 'Old Geezers making music in their bedrooms'. Isn't it funny that we start off with a tennis racquet playing air guitar to or favourite band in our youth in our bedroom and all these years later we are banging out tunes in the spare bedroom that doubles as a studio!
Please post links to your old recordings, photo's, videos of old or new punk songs here.

I saw Public Image Ltd on Sky arts last night, they showed half an hour of their 2011 Isle of White set, the first thing I noticed was the guitarist Lu Edmonds formerly of the Damned was playing a…Continue

Comment by Sean Rush on December 13, 2012 at 1:22pm A lot of Lu Edmonds talk. My favorite band he's in, and one of my favorite bands in general, The Mekons.

An odd first post, but hey I'm a punk :) I was a few years too young to catch many bands, but still remember being hooked the first time I heard God Save the Queen, at a Butlins holiday camp disco. I must have been 8 at the time. By age 11, I was starting to buy my own records and some of my favourites were Indian Reservation by 999 and Questions and Answers by Sham 69. I think I'm one of a few who thought Perfect Crime by the Anti Nowhere League was their most punk album (I was gutted when they played my home town and I didn't get to use my ticket as I had chicken pox). For me that album really hit home the point of punks doing their own thing and not what peer / government / etc pressure dictated. I was kinda sad when I heard they sorta disowned that album. Anyway here's something that UK punks will get others maybe not, but one of my mates uncle was the drummer. Closest I've got to performing in a punk band was when my another mates girlfriend hired The Macc Lads to play his birthday bash. He got invited to join them on stage for a song, and afterwards they asked if anyone else wanted a go. Another mate Paul took over drumming and I shared vocals with Muttley on Barrels Round..
Check out an old Punk @ The Newcross London Jubilee night
Comment by Swamp Dawg Primal Music on March 4, 2012 at 2:53pm First song learned on my CBG was the same as 20 years ago on my 6 string- Fang's The Money Will Roll Right In (without even fret markers!).
I'm still punk as fuk and play the six string for Ruggine HC, Milano, Italy. My new CBG will be at our next practice!
Comment by Maia on January 7, 2012 at 3:22pm A rude and raw song I composed qhen I was 17. Now, 16 years later I played for the first time.
