Hello everyone.My name is Dave and my friends call me Crowdaddy (something to do with raising orphaned baby crows).I joined the nation yesterday.I have been viewing cigar box nation and building for about 2 years.I thought it was about time to admit that I am addicted and join the family.When I first started building,this site was very helpful for the inspiration and information to get me started.So I'm blaming the addiction on you members that posted all the great pic's of the creative guitars, wrote about all the technical stuff(wiring,soldering,pickups etc) and of course Shane for his videos and enthusiasm.Thank you.My wife is probably out hunting all of you down with ill intent.I will add some pic's of what I have been up to.soon.I have just finished a 5 string gourdtar.I have had this fairly large gourd for years and finally got around to making a guitar with it.It was very squirrely compared to the boxes,kept trying to get away.Pic's coming soon.

Hello. To solve the compressed, "squished" look on photos I have found it comes from making vertical photos. If you shoot your work in horizontal format it won't swish. I shoot everything horizontal and then crop it into a tall shot. This works.

You bet Crowdaddy. A lot of swishing takes place. I hated it till I figured out the trick.
