I'm quite new here in the cigar box nation.

I'm not American or English but Dutch, so my English isn't all that good.
I'm a 46 year old divorced lowender and since playing 6-strings is nothing for me with my big hands and thick fingers, i'll stick to anything that has 5 or less strings.
I stumbled upon this site, while i was looking for some info on building a stringed instrument on the cheap.
I'm allready building a electric bass guitar for my youngest as a christmass present and was looking what kind of electric guitar i could build for myself, to complete my collection of instruments (most are e-basses)
Nothing fancy but something crude looking, as cheap as possible, with 5 strings or less and somewhat easy to build :-) i saw cbg's and was sold on the idea of building one with 3 or 4 strings for myself.
Since most info in here is about 3-stringer CBG's i'll start with that, it will be dedicated to Lord Lemmy.
