The Harp Cigar Box Guitar Challenge

I drew up these plans one night in 2004 after listening to Michael Hedges (and wishing I could play his harp guitar stuff on a CBG). I've never had the guts to attempt it. Maybe the concept alone will inspire some new design ideas. -Shane Speal

Sorry but I`m not going by the drawing, more towards the actual harpguitar design but cigar boxes bolted and cut to the shape. Then fill in the cut shape with solid poplar wood. Internal maple frame for strength. I did a cutaway cgb mandola 2 years ago and cut the box with my scroll saw, whats to say I can`t cut the bolted boxes out to the shape of a smaller sized harp - stick dulci and make it that way.

Is it allowed to design a harp-dulci cgb guitar type of instrument or must it be a 'GUITAR' only with a harp cgb git. Just asking before I start.

I'm up for this. I've been thinking on this for some time, but a variation without a second resonator, using piezos. We'll have to see...
