I was cleaning up my shop ... cutting up bits too big for my wood stove... Evidently ran past the pusher on my angle gilhooley... hit the thumb pretty square...  never touched the nail...

Very nasty, how many stitches did it take? Wow, you cut it with the table saw? It looks bad.

well  yeah... It's not that great...  It's about 3/8 of an inch short... they put a couple stitches in the nail bed ...  and a couple to hold the callous onto the front..  I did get the bone...  the xray don't look that good but the gal at the hand clinic  says it will be ok..  

  I have already customized a thumb pick... and it seems to work almost as well as It did before...
