I'm suprized at the lack of activity in here. I thought this would be one of the busiest groups. So anyway, my latest build is from wood saved from the trash trucks grip. Over 100 yr old black…Continue

I seriously thought that this would be a more active group. After all there is so much "treasure" thrown out everyday! Anyway I recently found boxes of old brass plumbing fixtures in a storage unit I…Continue

Very true. I got an old dryer off the curb and took it apart. Found 5 dollars worth of change in the bottom of it. But the good part is I'm going to make a spring reverb out of the heating coil compartment that I set aside. The dryer had timer problems so the coil is in good condition. the rest of the dryer went to scrap.
LOL, I'll take a pic tomorrow and post it. People in this neighborhood throw away good stuff all the time.
I get at least one truck load a month of metal bits and ends that I take to the scrap yard for extra cash.
Got a new work table off the curbside today. It's well built, 3 foot square, 3 foot tall, 4 drawers, legs made of 3" x 3" and on wheels. Great find and I've already used it.
Hit the jackpot today with my weekly curbside shopping. A rental house was being cleaned out and I got a standing gas grill with side burner in good shape. While I was loading it in the truck, a guy across the street asked me if I needed a window unit AC. I was stunned and said yes. My living room window unit went out at the end of summer last year, what a blessing. It's small, but it works. All I had to do to it was clean it and put a new cord on it.
Nice Shane.

The possibilities are endless.
That's right should be enough for a few things. Could just build a box around the tines and string up to the handle. Hahahaha
