sorry, not so computer savvy, so it will have to be 2 postings...
played till the string broke last night, pissed off the neighbors and made the dogs howl.... couldn't have asked for more.

first diddley bow. used a used paint roller pole, spent M60 shell casings, an ignition coil from a honda cm185 for the bridge, and a salvaged tuner peg and pickup. everything is attached with 14 gauge house wire i pulled out of the trash.

Here's a page I'm putting together with some mouthbow vid clips.
Mouthbows are almost diddley bows. These are from Africa to Siberia with a little Buffy St. Marie and 'mericans of course.

just need a place to tell my story, I am forward deployed in afganistan working in a battle hospital. Lots of craziness and too much suffering. Still at a small store on a nearby marine bass a clerk gave me a cigar box she had laying around. I started scrounging for wood and screws and nails. I found most of it in the cases they ahip the coffins in. I only had my army issued gerber knife and tool to work with. I only had one old strring in my bag. Still it took me a week but tonight I have an ultra primitive one stringed guitar. You can hear the sound of the sand passing through the hang mans noose when I slide a ten penny nail across the string. Tonight under the stars with a cbg on my lap Afghanistan is almost beautiful.
