Yeah, it can matter. Many people find either a thin wood sandwich, placed immediately beneath the bridge, incorporated into the bridge itself, or glued into the neck or lid with silicon caulk, significantly reduces / eliminates feedback and noise issues with piezos, and can also improve their bass response, since they tend to be brittle sounding by themselves. Also, you should be glueing the brass side facing the lid / bridge / strings.

Hi guys, i'm building my first cbg, just need to attach the piezo. does it matter which way up i glue it to the lid? or is it best sandwiched between two thin bits of wood then glued to the lid? cheers

So I have a Onyx Reserve box and can't decide what to do with it.  Make it into an amp or do I make it into a uke for my daughter?  It is really cool so I don't want to mess it up on my first uke.

No, it's a bit for a drill.  Look forstner bits.  You can get a Ryobi set for like 30-40 bucks with all sizes.  If you need something in between just a drumb sander.

Michael, what size bit? Is it cutoff wheels, I'd there a speed that you set

I glue sandpaper of different grits to popcycle sticks and dowles to finish sand the F holes and pickup and neck pocket on my builds. I once used a pencil wrapped in sandpaper.

I use nice new Forstner bits.  Seem to work good so far.

I'm having trouble getting a clean cut for f hole, sound hole and
Pickup cutouts. I have used jig saw, dremmel, hole cutters for the drill but I can't seem to get a clean cut. What do all of you use? Is there a diffrent bit or speed for the dremmel that makes a cleaner cut? Is there a vid on YouTube that might help?
