New strings for my "regular" guitars mean "new" strings for my cb's too! I want to set up the 3-string resonator to play some banjo parts in Pretty Boy Floyd, key of G. Is this possible? Which strings would be best? What tunings would anyone suggest?
Also, is it possible to set up a 3 string cbg to mimic a mandolin? just wonderin'...
thanks in advance

For a banjo tuning of G B D you could use an A, and 2 x D strings. Tune the A string to G, a D string to B and keep the other D string tuned to D. Or you could try some actual banjo strings to see if that would work
I am not sure what tuning you would require for a mandolin.
Hope this helps.
