Two celebrity box insturments in one photo.. that's Zeb on the right with a box fiddle, and Tennessee Bear on the left with his one-string "thang."

The updated (2002) one-string thang sports a resonator, cutaway, and a distortion-capable magnetic pickup. The headstock/tensioner is a wooden clamp.
