I'm a builder of mostly short-scale acoustic instruments. Nylon or steel strings, strummer or standard, tin or cigar box. I'd be happy to custom build or send you one from the collection.
I'm open to helping in any way Diane, thanks for setting this up. I'll post on Facebook and see if there's anyone who knows a soldier who'd like a Cigar Box or Cookie Tin instrument. May GOd bless us all! =)
Hi Diane and all, I'm glad to join.

I ship worldwide handcrafted guitars and diddley bows, from 1 string to 4 strings. Being in France by now, the shipping from Europe might be very interesting depending on where is the delivery. We are used to strong packages.

Right now I have a little stock of 2 stringers fretless (10 items) and some 3 strings diatonic with frets. I also have 8 diddley bows or so. All with metal bronze strings and high quality piezos cells. People love them so far :-)

All my guitars are elecro-accoustic with overall length less than 1 meter. Scale are from 25 inches to 19 inches or even 17 inches.

My 1 string diddley-bows 17 inches have great success to kids. Good for anniversary gifts or else...
I will have beautiful 4 strings with metal frets soon

I can work on custom orders and will study all requests. I can speak french too :D

We sell at low cost (when compared to other websites prices like Daddy Mojo)

Some of my builds can be seen here in my photo album at the Nation but I have too much and can't post pictures for all. Some others can be seen at my website http://www.LittleBigOne.net

I work mostly by eMails requests and can send pictures and say what we have at the moment. I can be reached at shop@LittleBigOne.net or http://www.FaceBook.com/LittleBigOne (Facebook preferred)

Best regards
I'm willing to do whatever I can to help. I am a novice builder, but would love to help regardless.

I'm currently trying to keep with the original spirit of the CBG and using only hardware (eyebolts for tuners and nails for frets). I'm aspiring to create some more technical guitars, but I'm not quite there yet.
I can probably rustle up one or two to send out. I will also check with my son in law who is in the Marines, and see if he knows of any Marines who are deployed who might love to have one.
I'd be happy to build something for a deployed service-member. I'm a novice CBG builder and am also an OIF veteran. I remember how nice it was to get care packages during my deployment and would really like the opportunity to pay it forward.
Military Build.... I'm in.... Located in Rochester NY... All I request is a picture with the guitar and person for whom this is for...
I am interesting in building a cbg for a soldier - am near both DC and Dover AFB and could deliver to either place. I could donate as many as five instruments.

Hello, I have a line of CBG's called Lazy B Cigar Guitars...and will have 5 CBG's ready before christmas for the troops, please let me know where to ship them....
John, those are really nice!

Watch for news from Iggy, Richard Sanabia and Tinyguitars for contacts. This seems to be the hardest part just now -- getting contacts with individual servicemembers.

Almost done with a 17" scale length 4-string necked-Dulcimer. I am more then willing to send it to a soldier in need of a fun and interesting instrument when completed, all I need is a name and a place to send it.
count me in - i haven't been building lately because i've been adding on to my house - this is a great way to get back in - just need to know where to send them
