Comment by Scott aka Farmer Ted on April 15, 2013 at 9:22am A quality 9 volt battery will last about 4-5 hours if using continuously, and fully cranked. I always keep a couple spares taped inside the amp just in case. But don't forget, the MAH5 has a wall wart input too...so having an adapter too is a good idea.
Comment by Cigarbox Triplestrings on April 15, 2013 at 3:16am I've no idea Harley. I don't use it all that often.

Comment by Cigarbox Triplestrings on April 10, 2013 at 6:51pm @Petey twofinger: Battery power supply.
Finally located the problem which was the battery terminal connection. Once the terminals were squeezed with pliers to give a more secure grip to the battery, everything was fine.
Quite an impressive amp to say the least!
Comment by John Wilson on April 10, 2013 at 1:33pm I got together on Monday with a couple of friends of mine to give them some Stella Amps I built. My friend Ian is on the bass, Dave is on the guitar, and I'm on the harmonica. Check it out:
Comment by petey twofinger on March 23, 2013 at 2:04pm @Cigarbox Triplestrings what is the power supply you are using , batterys or an adapter ?
@brianQ in the video i mention i did go down the NTE road when i first started up . i found them to be " worng" for the circuits i tried them in ... i am hoping they will eventually find a home , but ... it may be the dumpster
Comment by Scott aka Farmer Ted on March 23, 2013 at 7:13am I've used a few of the MAH5 harnesses, and never had a hum noise problem. I've also used their 2 watt circuit, and have made a few of my own 1/2 watt circuits
Comment by Cigarbox Triplestrings on March 22, 2013 at 11:32pm Has anyone built a cigar box amp using the MAH5 circuit board?
I've just finished my second build using the MAH5 board, and I find that from the "Blues" setting through to the "Heavy metal" setting, I get quite bad interference/hum etc if I turn the volume up above 3rd.
Is this normal or not?
I bought my speakers (4" 8ohm 5watt) seperately, and just wondring if they might be the problem.
Cheers
