Yeah Yeah Yeah....!
Your chance to record your favourite Fab Four song to be included in an MP3 download Album!
The Beatles are arguably the greatest and most influential Rock/Pop music band in Rock history, and they made a good few Blues songs too!
Any of their songs from 1962 to 1969 could be very suitable for CBG arrangement, the choice is mind boggling, there are so many favourites!
For now just decide which song you want to record, many members have already covered Beatle tracks and many more have shown great interest in doing more, just post which Beatle song you would like to cover and 'stake your claim' in the discussion thread below, I will update the playlist
here continually over the next six weeks as the final closing date for submissions will be WEDNESDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER
SUBMISSIONS NOW CLOSED
A download thread and a link will be published in September, successfully I hope!
Good luck, and remember all the Hits and the lesser known Beatle songs (not post 69 solos) will be good to include, and I would suggest you sing or play your chosen song in any genre and your own personal style....GO! (-:
I am planning some special "cover art" for the album ...if all goes well you never know, i could send a CD to Paul, i'm sure he'd like it! (-:
Announcement - second helpings!
As some members have requested a second song (there are so many great ones in the Beatles catalogue!) bidding for a second song will open from 23rd July, and the list will be updated accordingly (-:
The list is up and running below the main one.
Please don't post your songs on this thread....it will be a nice surprise to hear them all when the album is finished! (-:
When your MP3 recording is finished
send it to me by 5TH SEPTEMBER at....

Here's an example !
REVOLUTION%20example%20vocal.MP3
Remember the count-in cue is longer than on the original Beatle version just to give it a bit of space, 4 riffs then in...as on the above example.
REMEMBER just your voice, nothing else, though double-tracking is ok!

Permalink Reply by RTZGUITARS on August 13, 2012 at 3:32pm Thanks Bug your vocal gives me an idea what to expect. If you don't mind i might post the song with your vocal to help everyone with the timing. + if we don't get more people i don't have to do them all.
Post the Revolution vocal and instrument part here on the forum so Steve won't have to.
Just saw the vids of The 1st Cambridge CBGF That look like a great time square guitar takeover.
