The Perfect size Box?

What in your opinion is the perfect size cigar box for a CBG? I read that 12" X is the perfect size for a guitar? How about 9"X? Builders your opinion counts. Seems like there are plenty of CBoxes in the 9" range.

But scale and bridge placement come into consideration I guess.

Your thoughts? Thank you!

There is a perfect size guitar for nearly any cigar box. You just need to see it, or let it be seen.

I like that Zen approach and I have to agree. It seems one can visualize it before it's created. I see a little instrument in all the boxes that have come into my possession.

My problem is I can't build all the guitars I see and I can't stop buying boxes just to have them.

I have 2 to finish, one to rework and several concept in the pipeline. And 40 or so boxes and tins on the shelf.....

Like Bob Taylor said "I have to complete the ones I have before I start a new one" well, or something like that.

One can sell a completed instrument faster/easier than one on the drawing board. Or at least use it as an example.

I too, suffer from a disorder, commonly known as GAS or TWAS (Tone Wood Acquisition Syndrome),

I have more than enough that I will never be able to build with it all. LOL!

I'm working on 11 at the same time, and I think there are 2 more unfinished somewhere in the shop. I stopped counting the box's.

I don't know that there is a perfect size, but the deeper box's seem to make a nice sound with good volume, 2 1/2 - 3" deep with a good sized face if you can find it. Macanudo portofino is a good example.
