Hi

I am thinking of starting a group here on the Nation and would like to see what people think.

It would be called something like "The Great Cigar Box Nation Riff/Song Book".

A place where you can show us your favourate riff or song etc

A data base of songs, riffs.

i have posted some stuff to a great response so i think it would be a good thing.

Somewhere for people to go after they build there cbg.

The more people keep playing the more people will be inspired and the more the community will grow.

I would put songs into genres. Blues, punk, folk etc List songs alphabetically etc

3 string, 4 string. one string whatever

Maybe a section for turn arounds.

eg under Jumpin' Jack flash there may be 10 versions. a 3 string, 4 string, send in tabs etc

Show us how you do it. Different tunings etc

It will be a great place to send people who are just starting off.

Here is a couple of eg from my page

http://www.cigarboxnation.com/video/how-to-play-cigar-box-guitar-riff

http://www.cigarboxnation.com/video/how-to-play-satisfaction-on-a-3...

http://www.cigarboxnation.com/video/how-to-play-jumpin-jack-flash-3...

Find stuff on the web and throw it up there.

It's going to be GREAT!!!

Thanks for reading

Cheers

Nigel

EXCELLENT IDEA....great for new players...thanks for posting

Is this an actual song book or just video posts? I learn the best from tabs. Any chance you have this song book in pdf form?

This is something that never happened.

Too many groups on the nation.

Checkout Pat Curleys learncigarboxguitar.com he has some tabs.

i post the odd video on my youtube channel these days.

this is a great idea, I am new to cbg and I am going to need all the help I can get, there are not many song sheets online for the cbg, I come from a ukulele backgound where there are thousands of song sheets and chord sheets online, I have downloaded some of the tab sheets on CBN so I have something to start my journey, great thread by the way

pity this thread never took off, any beginner (who plays)would welcome a thread just for song chords/tabs

I will just have to use my guitar and ukulele tabs and learn my chords and fretboard

I can make a pdf file of music
