Hi Everyone, i would like to wire a single 20mm piezo to a A500k volume and a B500K tone control without a 3 way switch but cant seem to find any diagrams for one. Is it possible to do this and if so what options do i have for fitting a capacitor to them?
Many thanks in advance Paul.

Regular passive tone controls have very little effect on piezos. You really need a preamp first

Hi The Phryrgian Kid, thanks for your quick reply.

Have you any suggestions on what type of preamp i could use and if its possible to make my own

and how it should be wired up?

Did alot of electronics when i was younger but now in my 50's and the old grey matter aint what it used to be lol !

Thanks Paul.

You can use the Tillman preamp circuit. It's good and simple enough to solder up on perfboard. I put it in nearly all my gats. Runs 1000+ hours on a 9v.

For a passive tone control - yes it IS possible! - go to my discussion here.
