Here it is I found a great piece of copper that I want to use in my next build but the problem is it is part of a pan and warmer set. The set has some age to it. Should I care if I am ruining a piece of history to complete my build . Not to mention what if it is a rare collectible treasure ( probably not but what if ). I just think it would look great as my next project. thoughts any one

I would so make that lid a reso guitar!
I would prefer NOT to use anything with inhierent ( spelling?) value. That being said, you can always use it in a way that you don't hurt it.

Because, yeah, the lid a reso, the other thingy a reso cover.

Matt
The burning question i would ask myself is what would happen to the piece if you didnt immortilize it within a fine piece of art like a cigar box guitar? would it end up as scrap in the wrong hands.
I am like you as i treasure history, but i also know that if i dont it will burn away at me till i try........

So i would say go for it and make your own history..................
Less They Are Made By SomeOne of "reputation"
"I'd butcher Em".
Do a lil History Check...
and Cut em Up anyway.
The Burner has the best bits.
thanks
Ooohh, that is so begging to be a reso something! Wow. I think I'd do a quick check on the web just to make sure it is not worth a million bucks or something and then GO FOR IT! The web search could have an added value as you might be able to date the copper and do a period looking piece with it. Nice find. If you can decide, I'll send you my address!
