Hobby - significant other approves and is supportive

Habit - significant other tolerates it as it could be something worse

Bad Habit - significant other complains

Vice - significant other insists on couples therapy

Addiction - significant other has gone and found a lawyer

That reminds me of the 6 stages of my hobbies...

1. Interest

2. Pursuit

3. Passion

4. Preoccupation

5. Obsession

6. Compulsion

I usually operate between steps 5 & 6 and it may also lead to step 7... Been there - done that.
