I was wandering through Home Depot and thinking about guitar builds and such...when I came across these:

Has anyone used these for a neck?  The wood choice should be fine, just curious.

profile is really big/ackward for a CBG... I have adapted a rail for an upright bass... would have been happier taking wood and cutting, gluing and shaping... cheaper too....
Used one of these as a neck for a washtub bass I made with my friend. I'd get a plane or something and cut it down to be a bit thinner. It's a bit big to use as a neck on a CBG.

Great to know.  I thought it might need some thinning...wasn't sure by how much, especially if a fret board was involved.

Thanks!
