You probably have seen Shelley Rickey's cigar box uke video before.  Now she's back with a plastic bucket washtub bass in the band, The Mourning Glories.  This Rotterdam trio delivers some pure voodoo 3-part vocals and Deep South sound (Rickey is originally from Mississippi).

Boy oh boy, those ladies can sure sing the blues. Goosebumps up my arms and the hairs on my neck twitching.

Thanks for posting this Shane . CW Stoneking is a favourite of mine and these girls have Mojo enough to make this their own .

Yeah, three talented ladies in prison will do it for me every time. Love when they shift to the minor key toward the end.

Thanks so much, Shane. <3 More where this one came from.... just as soon as we bust out of this joint!

Oh that's some sweet stuff right there! I'm talkin' 'bout the music!

Check out their Live stuff on YouTube too. They are awesome !

sorry shelly. not buyin it. don't get me wrong. i've watched u 4 years. u got chps. but,,, this is not not a good representation of ur or their talent. yall so much better. can't wait for the next one.

Ouch ! You could have at least spelt her name correctly, after 4 years  !

Seriously.

I don't know who you are Mr. Low Budget but what a snarky, unnecessary comment. One thing you should know (funny you missed this since you have been 'watching me for years')... My partner, Marko van der Horst, the love of my life and my musical partner for nine years died tragically on September 4th 2014. I'm lucky to be here, standing up breathing, much less making music. The girls and i have been together for less than a year and this is just a glimpse of what we are capable of. You don't like it, don't 'buy it'. So condescending. Yuck. And yes, you could have at least spelled my name right, you ass.

Well said Shelley. Low IQ I think his name is.  I'm sure everyone else who watches your video & listens to your music will either enjoy and thumbs up or just not respond if they don't enjoy. Why waste time to type a comment for sake of being rude?!

I for one wish you girls all the very best .

Thanks Bristol Blue. I usually don't respond to crap like this but i have a real problem with folks that so flippantly criticize other artists and makers in such a way. Applaud the effort. There's a lot of stuff i don't like but i don't have to... but i completely applaud the 'doing'. I don't have to be everyone's cup of tea but i don't have to suffer ill-hearted, flippant comments either. So undeserved. I've been through enough.

Thanks Mr. Blue.
