Any one got a quick and dirty schematic or sketch of how to wire it with a volume knob? Actually don't really need the volume, I'm just not sure how to wire this thing (I assume it needs a 9v batter).

cool and thanks... the last mic (only mic) i did was straight forward and just had to wire to the jack.

 

Sometimes I just put a mic inside the cigar box. Most of the time I don't use a mic, I might be outside on the street or somewhere.

Condenser mic elements MUST have power to operate. look here:
