<p>I have also been contemplating building one of these or a Mandola or Mandocello. I have yet to settle on one of these. Most of my CBG's are 4 stringers, so I'm leaning more to a 8 string build at this point.</p>
<p>Most examples of a OM have been 4 strings at 21" scale tuned G/D/A/E using the 46-32-22-12 gauge strings.</p>
