Oh yes, Luis. Build yours, for sure. You will be the only person you know who has one! Then, you can show us how you did it, and CBN members will be scouring second-hand stores looking for typewriters. We already have cigar boxes, so we are half way there! Merry Christmas.

How to spread the cream cheese on it evenly is a mistery to me.

Sorry for your letdown, I know the feeling ;)  This is great though, I say build it for sure!  

Idea off the top of my head - to keep things simple at first and similar to CBGs, put fewer strings on the box and make them interchangeable for different keys/scales.  Heck I want to build one now!

There has to  be a slight bending of the keys, since they all converge on the same spot. That is why the best way is to use a cheap Italian typewriter. Dont try it with an Adler or an Underwood. And  yes, it will be twelve strings or something like that at most.

It looks great though. Everybody that dropped by to wish a merry Christmas was flabbergasted.

You can always perfect, or put your own personal spin on it even though you weren't the first.neither John Glenn nor Alan Shepard were the first man in space. And it's contested that Orville and Wilbur were not the first to fly. I've had ideas that I thought were original until I found out otherwise that somebody else thought it as well. It was still an original idea. Only I found a way to make it mine.
