Heat/Air registers

I saw a couple of metal heat/air register vent covers on the side of the road and started thinking to myself that these might make neat little resonators. They are the size of License Plates and are made of metal, alloy and maybe some new ones made of aluminum. The great thing about these is there's no need for a sound hole, you just adjust the vent to dial in the amount of acoustic volume you want.
