StewMac Fret Calculator is the way to go..but make it easy on yourself, use the measurements in millimeters, way easier than trying to use inches.

I do as John said, right down to the mm.  You need a meter stick or yard stick w mm.  Or, you can go by inches, but it will be harder to get the measurements.  The first 3 frets are especially critical to get right.

Fret Find

You can do a template with any scale, width, string numbers, etc. You can print as pdf or import to CAD (if you have the software). It will give you all the measurements as well. If you use the measurements, it is best to measure each fret from the nut ( or the 12th fret ), rather than from the previous fret. Tiny errors can compound, leaving your top frets out of tune. As Andy says, ALWAYS measure the  distance from the nut each time, NOT from fret to fret, to avoid compounding any errors.
