Well I haven't built my CBG yet, but I could take a picture of the pickguard I built for my Fender Strat. It's yellowhart, walnut, and maple. Other than that I've just got some raw lumber, some wood turning's, and random wood projects I've done. I have seen some cigar box's at 2nd hand stores in the past, and in older postings on craigslist in the garage sale section. Cigar box guitars are a sorta new interest for me. I already had most everything to build a CBG, but the cigar box and tuners, so I thought I'd give it a try, and then I found this forum, and have been reading as much as I can, and looking at lots of pictures. I think yesterday I looked a 163 pages of pictures on this site. I post some pic's soon.

Hey Arnie just saw ur post on bass pickups. I have used them as singles and doubles on 3 & 4 stringers. They work great . Use 2 500K pots for volume and tone along with a 0,47 cap for the tone. Wiring diagrams are easy to find for them. Hope this hepls.

There are a lot of Wood pieces for sale on ebay. Just search for" Thin wood" or "thin board"

Try your local flooring shop. 3/4 inch hardwood flooring is nice and straight, and they usually have partial boxes they'll sell for cheap.
