FOLLOW UP: A NEW APARTMENT FOR WESSEH, THE OIL CAN GUITARIST! YOUR DONATIONS DID IT!

You've been waiting for this report for two months...

Personal note:  Nobody told me about the threat of ransom when wiring money to Liberia.  I guess it's something I never considered.  However, the threat was real...and it took us over two months to discreetly and secretly transfer the funds to Wesseh and his helpers at Immersion Outfitters Ministry.

Two months ago, I asked you all to donate toward getting an apartment for Wesseh, the Blind Master of the Oil Can Guitar.  I originally stated that we would need $600 for a one-year lease.  You all responded by giving more than double that amount!

Two weeks ago, Wesseh stepped foot into his new apartment, fully leased for a year and with enough funds for Immersion Outfitters to buy him a bed, furniture and some clothes.

Wesseh wrote a new song of thanks to you all and they filmed him playing it in inside his new apartment:

THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING:  To ensure the proper transfer and use of donations, we are working with Pastor George Toe of Immersion Outfitters and they are handling all the purchases and budgeting.  George calls me once a week and messages me a couple times a day, giving me updates.  Wesseh is attending bible study and they're becoming good friends.

But wait...there's more.

We are now looking ahead to helping Pastor George build a school with Immersion Outfitters in Monrovia, Liberia. The end result will be a ministry/school where Wesseh can be employed to teach music and instrument building to the children!

It's not about throwing money at someone. It's about helping him create a sustainable living.

This means we're still taking donations.  Got a few bucks to throw into Wesseh's tip bucket?  Those dollars will help build a school and employ a blind musician.

You can donate via credit card through the secure EasyTithe website.  You will even get a receipt for tax deductions.

NOTE:  You must follow these steps for your donation to get to Wesseh and his provider, George:

1. Go to www.immersionoutfitters.com
2. Click the "Donate" tab
3.  Again, hit "Click Here to Donate" in the new pag
4.  This will take you to the proper Easy Tithe page.  Click "Quick Give (no login required).
5.  Add your amount. IMPORTANT: Make sure to hit the drop down menu for "IO Liberia" fund.
Fill out the rest of the info.

Wesseh is also building several new oil can guitars that we will try to get shipped to America.  If I can make this happen, I will put them for sale online and send the money back to continue toward our goal.

Thank you all for being so awesome.

WESSEH'S APARTMENT HAS IT'S OWN BATHROOM, TOO

VERY IMPORTANT:  WE WERE ABLE TO GET HIS APARTMENT BEFORE THE SIX MONTH RAINY SEASON IN LIBERIA, WHERE FLOODING IS A THREAT.  WESSEH'S APARTMENT IS WELL ABOVE ANY FLOOD LEVELS.    HE IS SAFE.
