So, in a nut shell.  I have been out of the game for a while.  I have not built anything (or really had the time or extra cash to do so) or played much in almost a year now.  But, a buddy of mine wanted me to build him a diddley bo....and now I am back at it again. I finished his build ( he is very happy with it) and now he has got me playing again.  So....kinda the reason I hung it up was I wanted to down size my gear to something a bit smaller, thought I would come up with something and never really did and it has been on the back burner this whole time.  So, with this said. I want to down size my gear.  Get rid of the drum set bass, hi hat, and snare....but the problem is I want the same sound I was getting or something close to it.  I have thought about suite cases, maybe something that could make a snare sound....something like Joker's one man band rig.  But I have not been able to come up with anything....plus if I do everything all electric, I run into the shortage of amps that I don't have.  So, a suite case and some sort of snare sound I think is the way I am thinking about going...I have also thought about a cajon, just siting on it and rigging up some sort of foot pedal system, but again, short on ideas.  Any thoughts?

i use a floor tom with a kick peddle turned around so it beats up then i put a tambourine on top so i get a boom and a tamb. i made a bar to attach the kick peddle to. it hooks to the legs. then i got a old beaten hi hat stand and shortened it and put a tamb on shaker on the rod now i got bass right foot tamb or shaker on my left foot. it works good but wares me out .
