CBG finishes

Where is the best place to see finished cbg's for ideas on colored stains, trim etc?
I have a golden oak box with walnut fretboard on poplar but can't find a color to coordinate the neck and back? Clear finish is too bleached looking with poplar. I see slit if finished fronts but not backs
I know anything goes but I look at this as almost a piece if art when done

Take the box, neck, fretboard into your local home improvement or paint store and look at the stain samples. Should give you a good idea what to choose.

Not sure stained timber ever looks right along side a natural colour.Think I've just proved it with my jaguar hubcap guitar the stained ply body just looks wrong against the walnut neck
