This will depend on where the fretboard will end(on the top of the box or at the edge of the box) and how many frets(21, 22 or 24).

My 25.5 scale Strat with 24 frets has 6.25" between the end of the fretboard to the beginning of the tremolo bridge. So if your fretboard ends at the edge of the box, you would probably need a box that's at least 11" long and 6" to 7" wide. That would look kinda crowded on the top of a box that small. You of course would have to put a wide mounting block under the top to mount the bridge and tremolo. You could use a Tiesco style tremolo like the one CBGitty sells. www.cbgitty.com/cigar-box-guitar-parts/tailpieces/1960s-teisco-style-chrome-vibrat...

What kind of bridge are you thinking about using?

bridge is pic below

plan to mount fret board at the end of the box.

That's a good Bridge. With a 22 fret neck, you might want a box that's 12" long. Better to have more space than not enough.

very true.

Yes and I have found several now. As I been searching today

Nice parts, bigmcgiv. A strong project. I built a git with a Gitty "Teisco-style" tremelo. The biggest diversion  from a "normal" cbg was needing to install the neck/fretboard 1/2" above the face of the box. My usual build has the fretboard 1/4" above the face of the box. The higher neck position was a suggestion by Shane Speal in his helpful video, explaining that the tremelo string hole position required the additional height. Not a big difference, but helpful in the planning of neck hole cutting. Don't know if this will be required with a Bigsby, but something to consider before putting yer box to the saw. Go for it!

Always a good idea to have all your parts together and plan your build around the parts while taking all parameters in mind.

Seen many people have to start over with their builds or just give up.

thanks gramps

I will check that out. When I receive the parts

parts are rolling in.
